Yesterday was blissful-escape’s first birthday! And for that, I spent the whole day dedicated to working on the site. I’ve added random things here and there and will be working on it some more. I’m liking it.

Speaking of birthdays, tomorrow’s my friend Sonia’s birthday. I don’t even have any money .. I really wanted to send her some flowers .. but is that kind of weird to send a friend flowers? I’ve just never seen flowers sent unless they’re like confessing they’re undying love. Ya know? I’m just curious. She’s been through alot and she’s a REALLY good friend. What do yall think?

I wish I wasn’t off work Monday. So that tomorrow can be the middle of the week and only have 2 more days of work. I had a horrible day today at work, but I won’t down the mood of the birthday post with that lol

Well I must get to finishing things around the house. Just wanted to say “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” lol

Last night I was able to finally get my room back to normal. I needed to rearrange it, so I was grateful for the carpet people picking up my bed and moving my computer desk across the room. Definitely not grateful for just throwing stuff around. But last night we finally got my bed back in my room, my tv & dvr hooked up, and most of everything cleaned up. All my clothes put up and hung up, all of the kids’ clothes folded and separated … the only thing I have to do is get my computer out of the living room and on my desk. And organize a small pile of papers & clothes that is at the foot of the bed. And make sure my closet has no toys or anything that are the kids’ because they will not STEP FOOT in my closet. I have made it to where anything of importance or just anything I don’t want them getting into, goes in the closet and I seriously plan on buy a lock. Because when I’m not home, nobody pays mind to the fact that I don’t want them getting into anything. Roman says “well put things to where they can’t get them” me? … “keep an eye on them!! don’t let them run around like crazy!!”

I was going through some of my folders, and found a random file - a .php file in my pics folder. I clicked on it and it was some porn crap. I quickly changed my password, but if anybody notices any random link or anything just weird, let me know. Thanks.

Weather … gorgeous! It was awesome today .. clear blue skies and low humidity … gah I loved it. And it wasn’t even hot at all! It made work enjoyable.

Today was just an all around good day .. which is rare. I like the people I work with, the regular customers … I just can’t stand the owner, the hours he gives me or the pay. So while I was off last week, while the city was trying to recover from Hurricane Ike, I went to snagajob.com and applied to Einstein Bros. Bagels close by, just ready to get away from Chick-Fil-A.

Well today, they called and left a message wanting to set up an interview. After having days like this, just a good day, it’s hard to jump on that. What would yall do?! I would love to work closer to home, as long as I’m getting the hours and money. But it’s hard to break away from a company you’ve been with for a while. I’ve been with the company itself for almost 3 years now. Roman works with the same company too. So it’s nice to talk about work and know what they’re talking about.

I’m conflicted now. lol I don’t know!

Ok … I’m FINALLY on my computer, that I can post about Hurricane Ike and stuff. I know I’ve been MIA .. but maybe duplicating the post from my livejournal will be a boost into blogging more here.

THURSDAY
I went into work at 5:30a. The night before, my mom had told me we were going up to Spring and stay with my uncle - which we had done when we evacuated for Rita. So I was wondering what it was going to be like at work and stuff. We were really busy in the morning catering to all the evacuees. Felt so stupid : “You go evacuate while I stay here and serve people chicken!” My boss wasn’t going to let us go, saying that there was no mandatory evacuation set for Kemah. Another manager there had called the police dept. to double check, because we kept getting phone calls from people calling in or family members and such. So she called and they said we were and so my boss STILL didn’t really do anything. Finally around 9:30 or so we started to close things down, and were out by 11a or so.

So I’ve been looking into getting in more hours at work, but no matter how much I request, I can’t seem to get ‘em. Either way, working and coming home to take care of the kids, it can be exhausting. So I’ve been looking into making some extra money online. I, of course, had no clue where to start but then heard of paid blogging. I got to a slow start finding out how to get started and such but somehow came across Bloggerwave. I’m very excited! I can’t wait to blog and make money! Sounds easy enough. You guys should definitely look into this. It’s the next best thing on making some cash online. It can’t get easier than this.

Today was great. I went into work at 9a and was only there for 5 hours and it was just so great not to have be in charge. I had the power but could just work & not be yelled at by the boss man! lol And it’s going to be alot greater because I don’t go back til Tuesday! So happy. Oh and today Amber made me a cake for my birthday, so today was all sorts of great-ness.

Also I’m so happy because our store is getting it’s quarterly customer survey next week and the day it falls on … I don’t open !! (meaning I’m not the one in charge) You don’t know how much stress that takes off of me. It’s where the customer rates our store on appearance, attentiveness .. everything. And that’s when the boss is like ON YOU. You have to make sure everything is perfect so we can get a good score. I was just talking about this with Sonia this morning, how I knew it was coming up and really hope it wasn’t on a day that I opened and such. It’s the last survey before the boss goes onto the new store, so I’m excited.

So today, has been a miracle! I’m not in bed asleep! haha Sadly enough, I tend to come home from work and after a couple of hours, I’m exhausted and make the kids lay down with me and I’m out by like 6p. But today, I’ve been doing laundry and cleaning up. I’ve already done a load in the dishwasher, on my 3rd with the laundry, I’m in the middle of cleaning the kids’ room and all I have left is to straighten up my closet and vacuum. If I have the time I’m going to go through the kids’ clothes and straighten up their drawers and stuff. I don’t know about that yet.

I wish I could go out tomorrow night. I have this urge to go the club and drink. But of course can’t. *sigh* I’ve only been a couple of times, for my birthday and about a month before that, and these were my first drunken experiences. Haha. But I LOVED it! So yeah, don’t know why but I wish I could go. I’ll be here, though, stuck in the house. Hopefully I can get it cleaned this weekend. OH! the bathroom, that’s another thing that needs to get cleaned tonight.
